Counseling is my second career. I spent the first 20 years teaching art in public and private school. My interest in creativity was always a drive to understand myself and other people and it is that curiosity that fuels my love for this work. As an adult, therapy helped me uncover and discover things that changed my life for the better. I have enormous gratitude and respect for those who have helped me in this journey and this has informed the way I seek to be with my clients…compassionate, open-minded, and real. May I pay it forward.

My approach to counseling is relatable and down-to-earth. I don’t believe there is one kind of therapy that is best for every client-it looks different for everyone. It is important to me that your needs and concerns are heard and we together come up how best to help you reach your goals. In my experience, I usually see folks who initially come to counseling because of a difficult life event-a break-up, a challenging transition-but if they are willing to dive deeper, they uncover something transformative in the process.I believe the investment in working on your own personal growth is the best investment you can make.

I am a board certified Licensed Professional Counselor (TX #74000). I received my MA in Counseling from St. Edward's University and my BFA in Art Education from Texas Christian University.
